Daily materials: 1) Bound notebook, pen or pencil
               2) Scientific calculator (no other electronics during formal assessments)

Introduction to Chemistry (Weather), Atomic Structure and Periodicity (Batteries), Nuclear Chemistry, Bonding (Toxins and caustics), Chemical Reactions (Fire, food, taste, smell), Kinetics, Stoichiometry, Equilibrium (Climate change), Acids and Bases, Thermochemistry, Quantitative Analysis


Grading
40 % formative. Classwork, short lab write ups, homework packets, questions
60% summative. Formal lab write ups, tests, quizzes


Expectations
  1. Collaborate, share, listen and respect each other and the instructor.
  2. Safety comes first in instruction, labs and activities.
  3. Work hard, study outside of class, ask questions.
  4. Bring daily materials.
